Members earn triple dividends, loan interest rebate - AGAIN!

IT PAYS TO BE A MEMBER!  For the SIXTH year in a row, the Kansas Blue Cross Blue Shield Credit Union paid triple dividends and a loan interest rebate back to members!

"The Credit Union had a very positive year in all aspects:  member growth, loan growth, and better than budgeted net income," says Stacy Montgomery, assistant manager.  "The board of directors feels it is important to share the tangible results of this growth with the members responsible for it."

On December 31, members were paid more than $61,000 in dividends and almost $42,000 was returned to borrowers.

Here is a break down of what members earned:

  • 1.20% APR/APY on average daily balance of $50 or more in savings for the fourth quarter
  • 6.5% of the interest paid on all consumer loans during 2017

The 6.5% loan interest rebate was to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the Credit Union, which was in July 2018.
